Russ is a highly regarded professional with more than twenty-two years experience in the residential lending industry, including thirteen years in executive management. As the Vice President of Sales at Samuel Scott, he oversees the development of their expert team of loan originators.
Russ, who has been featured on NBC Nightly News, CNN, Mortgage Banking Magazine, Robb Report and various other publications, has a long history and extensive contacts through out the Western United States.
One of his greatest strength is the creation and management of joint ventures with real estate brokerages . Russ has been able to form strategic relationships that increase the productivity of both the agents and originators. Service oriented and performance driven, he offers his sales team tremendous support and guidance.
In 2005, Russ founded Finance North America to meet the needs international borrowers. He was running the first company to provide U.S. based loans with GE Money for Mexico real estate and awarded largest originator designation for U.S. and Canadian citizens purchasing in Mexico for four consecutive years.
From 1998-2005, Russ was the Executive Vice President of First Capital Corporation, where he consistently exceeded sales and profitability goals and awarded top region in loan volume and units five years in a row. Under his management, First Capital grew from $10M a year, to $1B a year. He was the key team member accountable for expansion of in-house lender relationship for Prudential California Realty. Russ developed an in-house mortgage banking program to service their 90 real estate offices and 5000 real estate professionals.
Today, he is focused on Samuel Scott’s core mission: to earn the repeat business of clients by consistently putting their needs first and providing every Mortgage Advisor with an abundance of support.
